Overview

The real estate market in Cambodia has undergone a massive transformation over the past 10 years due to an ongoing boom of foreign investment for new large-scale property developments.

The overwhelming majority of these projects have taken place in the capital city of Phnom Penh, with the skyline growing rapidly due to construction of the country’s first skyscrapers and condominium complexes.

In a significant move to enhance transparency, efficiency, and investor trust in the real estate sector, the Government of Cambodia has recently issued a comprehensive sub- decree aimed at managing and controlling the real estate development business. Sub- Decree No. 50, dated 2 March 2023, outlines measures to ensure fairness, attract investment, and foster a thriving real estate market.

President’s Statement

I am deeply honored to serve as the President of Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) for the term 2023-2024. Our association has made significant progress in advancing the real estate sector in Cambodia, and I am committed to building upon our achievements as we navigate the evolving landscape of our industry. In response to the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, our focus remains on upholding professional standards, fostering a culture of excellence, and advocating for policies that support sustainable growth and transparency within the real estate sector.

During my tenure, I am dedicated to amplifying our collective voice, strengthening relationships with government institutions, and providing valuable educational opportunities for our members. It is my firm belief that by upholding the highest standards of professionalism and promoting a spirit of collaboration, we can contribute to the sustainable development of Cambodia's real estate industry.

I encourage each of you to actively engage, share your insights, and contribute to our collective success. Your participation and dedication are essential as we work towards a prosperous future for the Cambodian real estate industry.
